RIDING POSITION

Conceived for years of hard riding in an angled riding position, the Cambium C17 is suitable for city commuting or globetrotting. The Brooks Cambium range, in All Weather, is a durable and comfortable saddle with a modern design, “ready to ride” thanks to a vulcanised natural rubber top for flexible performance, requiring no break-in period. From freezing rain to scorching sunshine, the waterproof, weatherproof nylon top is made to perform flawlessly in all conditions. Additionally, the updated fibreglass reinforced backplate has loops for a saddle bag or other accessories.
The backplate loops hold a maximum load of 2.5 kg, please select your saddlebag accordingly.
CARE
This Cambium saddle is made in Italy and is guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase.
F.A.Q.
What is a Cambium saddle?
Cambium saddles are made of vulcanised natural rubber which offers flexible performance while riding, reducing shocks and vibrations and providing the rider with a better road feel than traditional foam or gel saddles. This construction of the Cambium mimics the leather saddle construction, thus providing a similar ‘hammock’ function for added comfort. The Cambium is also maintenance-free, meaning that you don’t need to adjust the saddle tension. Similarly, the materials we use are unaffected by rain. Cambium saddles are also available in carved versions, for riders who seek perineal pressure relief or require a more flexible saddle.
How do I care for and maintain my Cambium?
For the Cambium range, we would recommend checking your rivets to see if they are still tight. Over time, and due to the vibrations of the road, rivets might become loose, though this is a very rare occurrence. Remember that these saddles are assembled by hand in our factory, meaning that all maintenance can be done by hand.
What if my saddle squeaks?
A squeak from the saddle might mean that there is friction somewhere in the nose on top of the rubber. This can be relieved with a tiny amount of grease. Also, a noise might originate where the rail meets the backplate through the small black rubber plugs. In this case, the saddle can be reassembled with a small amount of grease on the contact points.
