This construction of Cambium mimics the structure of a leather saddle, thus providing a similar "hammock" function for comfort. Cambium is also maintenance-free, meaning you do not need to adjust the saddle tension. Similarly, the materials we use are not affected by rain. Cambium saddles are also available in carved versions for riders seeking perineal pressure relief or who require a more flexible saddle.
How should I care for and maintain my Cambium?
For the Cambium series, we recommend checking your rivets to see if they are still secure. Over time, due to road vibrations, rivets may loosen, although this rarely happens. Remember, these saddles are hand-assembled in the factory, meaning all maintenance can be done by hand.
What should I do if my saddle creaks?
A creaking saddle may mean that the nose is rubbing somewhere on the rubber top. This can be relieved with a small amount of grease. Also, noise can come from where the rails intersect with the backplate through the small black rubber plugs. In this case, the saddle can be reassembled, and a small amount of grease applied to the contact points.
