YBN's 12-speed chain is one of the lightest chains on the market, featuring a simple nitride silver coating. To achieve light weight without compromising chain strength, the chain's bolts are hollow-drilled. The chain's long lifespan primarily comes from the chromium carbide surface hardening treatment—a process that increases pin hardness through multiple special surface treatments. Additionally, the chain is equipped with an SLA (Superior Lubricant Application) coating. YBN spent 2 years developing this Ni-PTFE Teflon coating. Due to its smooth surface, the chain produces less friction, runs quieter, and attracts less dirt. Naturally, the tabs are specially treated to ensure a clean and fast shifting process.
